FIBRENEW FRANCHISING: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What types of customers will I have?
The exciting part about owning and operating a Fibrenew business is that your potential customers are everywhere. That’s because leather, plastic, and vinyl are everywhere. In homes, offices, vehicles, boats, planes, medical clinics and hospitals, schools, shopping malls, and much more. We are a highly diversified service business with multiple revenue streams. Your customer base will be comprised of home and business owners, vehicle owners and dealerships, boat and aircraft owners, medical clinics and hospitals, furniture retailers, warranty and insurance companies, and more.

What type of prior experience do I need?
You don’t need prior experience to succeed with Fibrenew. If you enjoy working with your hands, can distinguish color adequately, and are comfortable with relationship selling, you are halfway there. We will provide the rest with a thorough comprehensive training program and on-going support with our highly seasoned support team.

Are franchisees given an exclusive territory?
Yes. Fibrenew Franchise territories are exclusive to each franchise owner. Territories are comprised of a mix of residential and commercial business opportunities.

What about competition in the industry?
This varies by city or region. In some markets, Fibrenew has competition and in some there is none. Here’s the thing: competition proves there is work out there. Here’s the second thing: we have over 3 times the market share over our competitor in the same space. Just like momma used to say, it’s not bragging if it’s true. Our products, techniques, and color matching technology are what set us apart. Plus, we’re really cool people.

What type of vehicle will I need to operate the business?
Because the equipment and products needed to operate the business are very compact, most franchisees operate their business out of a mini-van or small SUV. Others use full-sized trucks and vans or even a bicycle! You can see examples of Fibrenew work vehicles here.

What is the background of your typical franchisee?
Fibrenew franchisees are a diverse group. We have former accountants, engineers, firefighters, painters, nurses, cabinet makers, miners, former auto industry employees, ex-military personnel, and people with sales backgrounds, among others. Although they have different experiences, they share a common goal – to operate a versatile business that will enhance their lifestyle.

How does training work and where is it held?
Our training program is broken into three phases:

  1. Pre-Training has you working through business set up, developing your marketing plan, getting your vehicle ready, and more.
  2. Hands-On Skills Training course that is currently conducted online, via Zoom. This 2-week course is where you’ll learn all the basic techniques needed to start performing work and you take the course from your home.
  3. Field Training Program guides you through your business start-up as you’re servicing customers in your territory to ensure you get a solid start during your entire first year.

What about on-going support?
Fibrenew franchisees have so many support options. We have on-demand phone and video options with our support staff as well as text, email, and our support app. You’ll also have access to annual seminars, weekly workshops, and training videos, podcasts, and articles. Our community of franchisees also play a significant part in supporting each other.

What are the initial startup costs and what are on-going monthly charges?
Initial start-up costs and on-going charges are dependent upon region. We operate a flat-rate royalty system as opposed to a percentage system that most franchisors use. This means that there is no financial reporting and no red tape. You are free to make as much as you wish without ‘penalty’. For financial-related questions specific to your area, please make an inquiry here and we’ll get back you with info.

Are Fibrenew franchisees required to be licensed and insured?
Fibrenew Franchisees will need to obtain a business license from the local municipality where they live and operate their business.
All Fibrenew franchisees are required to have liability insurance.

How do you cost this restoration service in order to make a profit?
Franchise partners are free to set their pricing and generally cost their restoration service at a rate that is consistent with other trade/service providers in their local area (hourly rates for mechanics/plumbers/electricians for example). This value will vary from State to State, Province to Province, and Country to Country. As a further guideline, the pricing of jobs will relate to the replacement value of the piece that’s being worked on. That’s our true value to our customers – saving them from having to replace a damaged couch, car seat, dashboard, PVC window, etc.

Where does a franchisee obtain supplies and materials from?
Fibrenew’s exclusive product line is available only to our franchise partners. We ship products worldwide from our Warehouse in Black Diamond, AB Canada.

FIBRENEW CUSTOMER REVIEWS

5 Stars
“Warren did an absolutely amazing job restoring the leather seat in my 2008 Toyota Tundra truck. It had been damaged with a burn-through hole in the seat approx. 1.5. in by 0.25 in. wide. He came to my home, and after working on it about 2 hrs, he made the damage disappear. I would highly recommend him for such repairs and will definitely call upon him again if I experience any damage to my leather upholstery.”
